MSD International Journal of Clinical Research and Investigative Dermatology high-impact reports describing original research related to all aspects of cutaneous biology and skin disease. Descriptions of important findings that result from basic, translational, or clinical research are appropriate for submission. Clinical research can include but is not limited to, interventional trials, genetics studies, epidemiology, and health services research. Dermatology is the branch of medicine dealing with the skin and its diseases a unique specialty with both medical and surgical aspects. Research The International Journal of Clinical and Investigative Dermatology and Clinical Research aims to publish articles on diseases, in the widest sense, and some cosmetic problems of the skin, scalp, hair, and nails as well as educational research articles that help in dwindling the spread and restrict the Dermatological diseases. It is an online peer-reviewed, open-access journal that publishes original research articles, case reports, short communications, review articles, and clinical studies related to all aspects of Dermatology and Clinical Research.

The journal is primarily responsible for carrying out clinical trials relating to inflammatory skin diseases, skin cancer, infections, and auto-immune illnesses. The journal publishes information related to skin pathology and different modes of therapeutics, including dermatosurgery and cosmetic dermatology. Likewise, it carries articles on leprosy, STI, and HIV/AIDS. The editorial board encourages the authors to publish articles addressing emerging techniques and developments in the subject specialty, in the form of Original investigations, Narrative and Systematic Reviews as well as Case Reports.

The journal aims to publish Editorials and commentary from eminent personalities regularly. Research International Journal of Clinical and Investigative Dermatology was created to explore the educational potential of distributed hypermedia served via the World Wide Web. The journal is attempting to serve the dual role of providing relevant information and improving the way scholarly content is shared.

The Indian Association of Dermatologists, Venereologists & Leprologists is the national association of Indian medical specialists who manage patients with skin disorders, sexually transmitted infections (STIs), or leprosy.

The RIJCID has several state branches, each with its office bearers, which function independently within the constitution of the RIJCID.  The purpose of the RIJCID is to facilitate scientific dialogue amongst its members through the medium of publication of case reports, studies, or letters as well as to deliver continuing medical education to its members and postgraduate students through reviews and other articles.
