Dr. Manuel Ángel Gómez-Ríos earned his Degree in Medicine and Surgery at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Santiago de Compostela. He is a Consultant Anesthesiologist of Spain, author of several publications indexed on PubMed, a member of the Editorial Board, and peer-reviewer of several international journals. His research experience covers 15 years in tertiary care centers.

His 50 peer-reviewed international publications covered many areas in clinical research. Biography:

Dr. Ayten Saracoglu is presently working as an Assistant Professor in Department of Anesthesiology and Reanimation, Bilim University School of Medicine, Turkey. She has also worked as anesthesiologist in Liver Transplantation and Obesity Surgery in Department of Anesthesiology and Reanimation, Istanbul University Medical School, during 2012-13. She has received European Resuscitation Council Adult Advanced Life Support Certificate and European Resuscitation Council Pediatric Advanced Life Support Certificate in 2013 and 2012 respectively. She has also worked as a member of Turkish Society of Cardiovascular Thoracic Anesthesia and Intensive Care. She also has 17 publications in national journal and 13 publications in international journal. She has conducted various presentations in International Congresses as well as in National Congresses. She has also been a reviewer in International Journal of Clinical Research and Journal of Laryngoscope. She has also been a speaker in 2014 Pregnancy Summit, UK and Instructor in Airway Management Workshop, Turkey. Dr. Maria Kapritsou, RN, Ph.D. is Chief Nurse of P.A.C.U. in Hellenic- Anticancer Institute “Saint Savvas” Hospital, Day Care Clinic “N. Kourkoulos”, Athens, Greece. Also, she has participated in the adult education program as Instructor of Youth and Lifelong Learning Foundation of Municipality Athens, Greece. She holds a BSc in Nursing, Master of Science in Surgical Nursing and she is a Candidate in Master of Health Nursing Management. She has a Ph.D. in Oncology Surgical Nursing which was obtained from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Greece. Also, she is a Postdoctoral Researcher in Perianaesthesia Nursing at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Greece. She has experience in research methodology (quantitative and laboratory assays) and she has a strong interest in clinical nursing practice and research focused on pain, stress, and neuropeptides’ levels issues, mainly concerning oncology and surgical patients (adults).

She has participated in research projects, such as “Study of the effectiveness of Fast-track protocol in postoperative care in patients after hepatectomy or pancreatectomy”. Registration Number of clinicaltrials.gov: NCT02524925. She was awarded for her research work presented in 6 Hellenic Congresses. She was a member of 2 National and Professional Organizations of the Hellenic Nurses Association (2012-2016). She is the founder, as well, the President of “Hellenic Perianaesthesia Nursing Corporation” and Vice-Chair of the Directors of the Board of International Collaboration of Perianaesthesia Nursing (ICPAN).
